Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Emma attended the University of Victoria, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2020. After a family member's stroke in the summer of 2022, she changed career paths and was inspired by the work of Speech-Language Pathologists that her family worked with. She is currently enrolled at the University of British Columbia, completing the pre-requisites for a Master’s of Speech-Language Pathology. Emma has worked previously as a behavioural interventionist working with children with ASD and now volunteers with the Delta Stroke Recovery Group. Emma has a passion for helping people and is keenly interested in working with people with language delays and Aphasia.

When Emma is not volunteering or working, she can be found reading in the sun with her dog, Mushu, or trying out new restaurants around the Lower Mainland.
