Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
Katherine completed her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the Education University of Hong Kong and obtained a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in psychology.
She started her career as a speech-language pathologist in Hong Kong. Katherine has clinical experience working with children with speech, language, and social communication needs in various settings, including early child development centres, primary and secondary schools, and private practice. Her clinical interests encompass early language development, Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental language disorders, speech sound disorders and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She has developed a passion for making positive impacts in children’s lives by fostering a holistic environment for them to practice communication skills.
Katherine is now working as an SLP assistant while she is preparing for the SLP registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia (CSHBC). She offers services in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, travelling and playing with her dogs (she has one corgi and one pomeranian).
